AT&T wants to build a wireless tower next door

THE MEETING WAS CONTINUED TO APRIL 19

Hey Sweetwater Hills Townhomes residents

AT&T’s proposed tower is now in the hands of the San Diego county planning commission board. The public can attend, make comment and submit evidence. Here’s the info:

Those board members will vote on the project on Friday March 22nd.

You can send in your comments and questions here:

PDS.PlanningCommission@sdcounty.ca.gov

Your comment can be something as simple as “I am opposed to the wireless tower project at Paradise Valley Road.” with your name + a reason (if you want)

We need as many people to comment or attend as possible! If you want me to send in a comment on your behalf, please email me wintertonmaggie@gmail.com

The public is allowed to attend in person at this address:

Friday, March 22, 2024, 9:00 A.M.
COC Conference Center Hearing Room

Here is the finalized agenda: https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/dam/sdc/pds/PC/240322-pc-hearing/Final%20Agenda_%2003.22.24.pdf

Here is are the supporting documents and staff report prepared by the county with all the info on this proposed wireless tower: https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/dam/sdc/pds/PC/240322-pc-hearing/Item%202%20Paradise%20Valley%20Road%20Wireless.pdf

That document is large but interesting. It shows a depiction of the tower next to our townhomes.

We can submit evidence as well:

“Documents received later than 4:00 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the Planning Commission hearing will be provided to the Commissioners upon receipt; however, the Commissioners may not have sufficient time to review them. If you wish to speak on an item or register your opinion for an item, speaker slips are available in the rear of the Chambers, during hearings, and must be turned in prior to the item being called on the corresponding agenda.”

Hello, neighbor!

This page (last updated March 23,2023) will serve as a neighborhood bulletin board with important updates and information. I’m Maggie Winterton, secretary of the HOA board. However, I created this page as a neighbor, not a board member. My hope is to help bring this community together and help spread information!

You have likely spoken with Lacrecia Randell, the champion of our most pressing issue – the proposed neighboring wireless tower. Or maybe you saw the newsletter we made! Per the last Sweetwater Hills Townhomes HOA meeting, this is not a board issue. NNJ has also made that clear. However, as a community, we are certainly powerful!

AT&T is proposing the construction of a 35’ high mono eucalyptus tower. This is a cell tower that will look like a tree. They need a permit from the spring valley community planning group. The planning group wants this community to work with AT&T on a solution.

This is the information sheet ATT sent to Lacrecia Randell, our go-between person. We invite you to do your own research and form your own opinion as a resident or homeowner

We need to be informed. Here are some links with information regarding the safety of wireless towers. I continue to share any and all information with no bias.
